Surprise 73 extends memories from Greece and Crete using Artificial Intelligence.
On the cover, a strange marble face, wearing a hoody and seemingly walking in a Brooklyn street.
The first spread presents a monument to a fisherman standing on a beach in the city center of Heraklion in Crete.
The second spread shows small dry snails accumulated on a rusted pole outside the Minoan Palace of Knossos.
The third spread is a view of a fragment of a marble statue of a bearded man hosted in a plaster reconstruction found in the Acropolis Museum in Athens.
On the fourth spread stands the sculpture from Bembo Fountain, named after the Venetian Provveditor General of Heraklion Gianmatteo Bembo.
The last spread shows the downstairs of the reconstructed Stoa of Attalos in Athens, hosting the Museum of the Ancient Agora.
Above it, on the first floor was found the marble head that is presented on the back of the issue.
On the right pages are original photographs the artist took during his travels. The left pages extend these images and complete them. They are the result of Artificial Intelligence.
