The cover presents the archeological site viewed from the new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theacropolismuseum.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Acropolis Museum<\/a><\/strong> conceived by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tschumi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bernard Tschumi Architects<\/a><\/strong>, which opened in 2009.<\/p>\r\n \r\n<p class=\"has-smallmedium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The first spread presents the <strong>Parthenon<\/strong>, under renovation, filled with tourists from all over the world.<\/p>\r\n \r\n<p class=\"has-smallmedium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Follows a view of the city of Athens and the <strong>porch of the Maidens<\/strong> located on the south part of the <strong>Erechtheion<\/strong> or Temple of Athena.<\/p>\r\n \r\n<p class=\"has-smallmedium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">After a closeup of more renovation and antic columns, we discover tourists using the site as a background for the photographs they will most likely share on social media.<\/p>\r\n \r\n<p class=\"has-smallmedium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">On the back is a view of the Acropolis from <strong>Monastiraki Square<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n \r\n<p class=\"has-smallmedium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">A special thank you to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linardaki-parisot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eirini Linardaki<\/a><\/strong>, an artist who introduced me to Greece and is at the origin of this trip.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Surprise 68 is dedicated to the Acropolis in Athens.
